Sani Eshwara temple is located at Soornad North village in Kollam district in the south west state of Kerala.It is the only Sani temple in kerala.The temple can be reachable from kayamkulam (Nearest town) by driving 20kms.

This temple is very old and many devotees visit this temple from different parts of kerala for their wish to be fullfilled. Many poojas are performed in this temple like neeranjanam, Sanescharchana etc.The main deities of the shrine is Lord Shani Bhagawan and it is the only shrine in the temple.

 

 

The place is very calm and surrounded by paddy fields which adds beauty to this temple which brings mental peace and relaxation.During other days, the temple is not crowded, except during festivals. 

One of the disappointing fact is that the temple requires some renovation work as it looks very old and there is no proper roofing.I felt very sad that there is no great financial support to this powerful Shani Easwaran temple.It will be great if the devotees take care of this.

 

As the temple is situated interior of the village, there is no shop near by, If you want to buy any flower or pooja material to shani deva, get it from the town.
